Live Music
Traditional Irish music is very popular at Bill Chawke’s bar. All of the musicians that play here are local and are rated as some of the finest musicians in the country.
We have live traditional Irish music sessions at Bill Chawke’s Bar every Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30pm
We can also arrange live traditional Irish music for your function should you wish for an alternative to a band or DJ.
Besides the traditional Irish music, there is live music most weekends in the bar with a wide range of artists from around the region.

Sport at Bill Chawke's
Adare is a big GAA stronghold with the sport being immensely supported locally, Bill Chawke’s bar does it’s best to perpetuate that by sponsoring the Adare Hurling team. Now we don’t wish to cause controversy here but Adare hadn’t won the local championships for 100 years or so but after we took up their cause they have won it 5 times in a row! Coincidence? We think not!
Apart from the GAA, customers also come to watch their other favourites – Munster Rugby, the International Soccer & Rugby lads and many a ‘fanciable filly’! We show as many sporting events LIVE on our HD LCD TV screens with surround sound for added atmosphere – golf majors, darts, soccer, rugby, GAA and all of the major racing festivals too. The Cheltenham race festival is a firm favourite every year with tips coming in from far and wide! We even have a large screen out in the Beer Garden making if the perfect place to roar on your team on a balmy summer’s day.
Celebrate at Bill Chawke's
Bill Chawke’s is an excellent venue for parties, family occasions, race nights, quiz nights, corporate events and post wedding celebrations!
Our magnificent Beer Garden Area is very popular with our customers as it provides ‘state of the art’ barbequing facilities in a very well appointed area which can accommodate a large number of guests. If the weather turns sour (as it often does) we have an adjacent indoor area which is very comfortable and is easily accessible from the bar and the beer garden.
One service that has recently become exceedingly popular is our ‘Pig on a Spit’ Post Wedding Party as it provides a wonderfully relaxed way to round off your special weekend, in a warm hearty Irish way! Contact us for further details.
